You just need Refinements<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At The Dental Studio<\/strong>, we are transparent about the process. Biology is not always 100% predictable. Here is what refinements are and why they are a normal part of the journey to perfection.<\/p>\n The original ClinCheck plan is a computer simulation. It assumes your body will respond perfectly to the plastic forces.<\/p>\n However, in reality:<\/p>\n – Some bone is denser than others.<\/p>\n – You might have worn Tray 12 for only 18 hours a day instead of 22.<\/p>\n – Some teeth (“stubborn lateral incisors”) are notoriously hard to rotate.<\/p>\n Because of this, you might reach the end of your box of aligners and be at 90% of your goal. Refinements are the extra steps to get that last 10%.<\/p>\n It is simple and painless.<\/p>\n Step 1: Evaluation.<\/strong> On your “Final” appointment, Dr. Sajitha assesses the result. We ask you<\/em> if you are happy. If we see imperfection, we recommend refinement.<\/p>\n Step 2: Rescan.<\/strong> We take the attachments off (usually) and take a fresh iTero 3D scan of your current position.<\/p>\n Step 3: New Aligners.<\/strong> Align Technology fabricates a small batch of new trays (usually 5 to 10 sets).<\/p>\n Step 4: Wear.<\/strong> You wear these just like normal.<\/p>\n Step 5: Done.<\/strong> Once the refinement is finished, we move to retainers.<\/p>\n This depends on the Package you chose at the beginning.<\/p>\n – Invisalign Comprehensive:<\/strong> Usually includes Unlimited Refinements for 5 years.
